About Sparrowghost

Sparrowghost emerges as the captivating musical alter ego of award-winning composer, Sean Giddings

After the release of his debut EP "The Morning Greys", Sean relocated to Los Angeles. His performances have graced esteemed venues such as The Standard Hotel, Room 5, and The Viper Room along the iconic Sunset Strip. Notably, he also held a weekly residency at the cherished Noho coffee spot, The Republic of Pie.

In addition to being an accomplished songwriter, Sean's musical experience extends to the silver screen, where he has composed and performed for numerous short films, including award-winning titles like "Outpost," "This is Normal," and "It's Okay." His original music garnered recognition at prestigious events like The Other Venice Film Festival, where he clinched the Best Score award for the Oscar-Qualified film, "Celluloid Dreams." Sean's cinematic repertoire also includes composing for feature films such as "1 Night," starring Anna Camp and Justin Chatwin, and the highly anticipated "When We Get There," featuring Alfred Molina.

Seamlessly moving through diverse genres such as piano film music, lo-fi hip-hop beats, alt folk, and songwriter pop rock, Sparrowghost defies confinement and genre constraints. Within each musical exploration lies an unmistakable thread of sentimentality, woven together by a genuine longing for connection.

With inspirations such as Bon Iver, Frightened Rabbit, Sleeping At Last, and the Post-Britpop bands of the early 2000's, Sparrowghost refuses to be pigeonholed into being just one thing.
